Ian, my Pembroke Prince and spokesdog for the Corgi Rescue known as St. Anthony's
Canine Rescue, you were so people oriented. A Pied Piper of people. I
called you Ian the Being, the Sweetsie Machine. You could not get enough
of people and loved them all. You were good-natured about getting dressed
in costumes, riding in the Corgi Cruiser wagon and going to public events.
I would not have imagined your passing now. You were so healthy but inside
you a big slpeenmatic tumor was growing. When you passed out 11/2 and went
to the vet and x-rays showed the precarious nature of your stomach, exploratory
surgery had a good scenario and that is the way it went. Nothing but a good
recovery prognosis was forecast on 11/3. Why you chose to leave us at 4AM
on 11/4, I don't know. I am thankful for having you for 9 years and 9
months. We all miss you here at home Ian but with your ashes now here with
us and so many memories, the poem of Rainbow Bridge is one I choose to believe.
The Pembroke Prince is now with the Heavenly Prince of Peace and St. Anthony
of Padua. Much love Ian Arleen, Duffy, Belle, Sam, Penny, Francine and Dovie.
